Shenandoah National Park
Shenandoah National Park located in Virginia is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the eastern part of the US visited by well over one million people a year. Although hundreds of thousands tour Skyline Drive in mid-late October to admire vibrant fall foliage, the park is no less spectacular (and a lot less crowded) in spring when the wildflowers and trees are in full bloom.
Shenandoah National Park encompasses part of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the Blue Ridge region of Virginia. The national park is long and narrow, with the broad Shenandoah River and valley on the west side, and the rolling hills of the Virginia Piedmont on the east.
